I came upon this Milan coachbuilder's work recently but for the life of me, I can't find much information, in English or Italian. Can anyone out there shed some more light on this?
They specialize in Italian cars. Four conversions are especially noteworthy.
The first, my favorite, is this Maserati Quattroporte III that was converted into a two-door coupe. Apparently five were converted and two still exist.
Then, we've got some really clean Ferrari 400/400i/412 conversions.
This DeTomaso Pantera targa conversion seems to be the most talked about on the net, but I am sort of underwhelmed by its cheese factor.
Finally, Pavesi also converted Alfa sedans into station wagons, similar to the ones I saw up in Calistoga and Sausalito.

DeTomaso Deauville wagon estate (Viewer discretion advised)
The DeTomaso Deauville sedan is a rare car. Barely 200 were made over 17 years. What's even rarer? The Deauville wagon. Only one was made, for Mrs. DeTomaso herself. I've been looking for a picture of one for a couple of years now. I found one tonight by chance. I wish I hadn't found it. It is much better looking in my imagination than in real life. Ugh, it's ugly.

List of Cars With Gullwing Doors
It's gullwing-door Tuesday here at TT. Here are all of the gullwing doored production cars (and two concepts) that I was able to find.

Porsche Tapiro: It's got gullwing doors for ingress/egress and as hood doors as well.

Melkus RS 1000: East Germany's supercar.

Lamborghini Marzal: Too greenhouse-y.

DeTomaso Mangusta: Gullwing hood doors.

DeLorean: Most popular gullwing doored car for non-car enthusiasts.

Bricklin SV-1: Possibly the worst gullwing doored car.

Bristol Fighter: "Ugly Bristol" is redundant.

Autozam AZ-1: Looks like a cross between a Ford RS200 and a Suzuki Cappuccino. I may have to do a separate write-up about this.

Mercedes SLS: My favorite Mercedes of the last 30 years.

Gumpert Apollo: Too much. Just too much.

Isdera Commendatore: Never heard of this before. It's got gullwing doors for ingress/egress and as hood doors as well.

2009 All Italian Car And Motorcycle Show (Alameda)
It was a chilly and gloomy day today. But these Italian cars certainly brightened everyone's mood.
