It's the E30 320is and it was only available in Italy and Portugal. It came in both two- and four-door versions.
Italy and Portugal had exorbitant taxes on any car with engines larger than 2 liters. The regular E30 M3 had a 2.3 liter engine, a no-no. The 320is has the S14 engine from the M3, but reduced to 1990cc in displacement (via shorter strokes). It also shares the M3's Getrag transmission. Everything else in the car comes from the standard 3 series parts bin.
